Understanding the BioScan SRT

The BioScan SRT is one of the tools I use to gain a broader understanding of your overall wellness and to help guide a personalized plan that supports your body’s natural ability to maintain balance.

The BioScan SRT is a non-invasive biofeedback assessment that measure’s your body’s galvanic skin response—small changes in the skin’s electrical conductivity that occur naturally. The information gathered may provide insight into how your body is responding to various wellness-related factors, helping identify areas where additional nutritional support, lifestyle changes, or stress management strategies may be beneficial.

Rather than focusing on diagnosis, the BioScan is used as part of a holistic assessment to help create an individualized plan tailored to your needs.

How does it work?

During your assessment, you are seated in a comfortable position with electrodes placed on accupoints while the BioScan measures your body’s electrical responses. The software compares these responses with a computerized database designed to help evaluate patterns used to create health recommendations. For example, if your body reacts defensively or shifts out of it’s normal baseline zone when exposed to a certain frequency, that substance is flagged as a “stressor”.

Once the triggers are mapped out, cold light therapy is used on accupoints to retrain your nervous system so it no longer reacts to those items in the future. It is also intended to encourage balanced energy flow and is designed to continue working with your body’s natural balancing processes over the following 24 hours.

The scan is relaxing, painless, and typically takes less than 10 minutes. It uses very low electrical signal (approx. 2.4 Volts), which you will not feel during the scan.

A whole-person approach

The BioScan SRT incorporates concepts used in several complemetary approaches, including biofeedback, acupuncture, homeopathy, and kinesiology.

Who can benefit from the BioScan SRT ?

◆ Those dealing with sensitivities or allergies
◆ People with chronic inflammation
◆ Individuals wanting customized wellness
◆ People seeking mind-body balance

✔ Tests against 120,000+ potential stressors (foods, toxins, pathogens)

✔ Quick, painless, no needles

✔ Safe for adults, children, and animals

Who Should Not Be scanned

For safety purposes, BioScan SRT is not recommended during pregnancy or for individuals with an implanted pacemaker or other electronic medical devices.

And Yes, Even Our Furry Friends Can Be Scanned!

Your four-legged family members can also benefit from non-invasive wellness scans. Our pets can experience stress and environmental changes too, and a BioScan may provide another perspective on their overall energetic well-being.

Because wellness isn’t just for humans—our furry companions deserve a little love and attention too. 🐾

Acupuncture and Meridians

Traditional Chinese Medicine describes a network of pathways called “meridians” through which the body’s vital energy, or Qi, is believed to flow. These pathways connect different areas of the body and are associated with specific organs and physiological functions. Along these pathways are specific points called “accupoints”.

Your body is an interconnected system, where everything works together to support balance and wholeness. When energy is flowing freely, the body is in a state of greater balance and harmony. But what happens when that flow becomes restricted or feels “stuck”? From an energetic perspective, this may contribute to imbalances—physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual.

Many complementary health practitioners use these concepts to support balance within the body. The BioScan incorporates acupuncture principles by using these energetic pathways as part of the wellness assessment. The scan looks at how your body responds to a wide range of potential stressors, helping identify areas that may deserve a closer look. This approach invites us to look at the bigger picture—how different systems, experiences, and influences may interact with one another.

Where there is free flow, there is no pain; where there is pain, there is no free flow.

Understanding Resonance

This short demonstration uses tuning forks to illustrate the principle of resonance—how vibrations can be transfered between objects tuned to the same frequency. Although the human body is much more complex than this example, it offers an easy way to visualize concept that is often discussed in biofeedback and energy-based wellness practices.

The Bioscan emits specific energy frequencies meant to mimic environmental stressors, foods or toxins. These frequencies are intended to help the body recognize and respond to these energetic imbalances, supporting the re-education and balancing energy pathways so the body can respond to these stressors in a more balanced way.

The Body: A Living Network

We are more than a sum of our physical parts—we are living, communicating systems. Our cells maintain electrical gradients, our nervous system communicates through electrical signals, and our hearts rely on its own electrical rythm to coordinate each beat. Like an intricate network of pathways, the body is constantly sending and receiving messages. The little static shock we sometimes feel is a simple reminder that our bodies are electrically active. Supporting the body means looking at the many systems that work together to maintain balance, communication and vitality.
